Artist's Comments: The wonderful array of earth tones on the mountainside and angled slope contrast against the powdery white skyline inspired me to recreate this simple study. Working at Hualalai allows me to enjoy some wonderful views of nature on a daily basis. I was continually drawn to Hualalai mountain and its contrasting profile against the sky. Perhaps because recent vog has often softened this profile. This day was wonderfully clear and there were some stormy clouds collected in a pocket on the Kona-side of the mountain while the rest of the island enjoyed typical Kona-weather.
